The following is a list of questions asked most often regarding our products:
Table of Contents
Does your software work on Apple Macintosh computers ?Our programs are written for use on computers running Microsoft Windows (version 95 and higher). It is possible to operate them on the Macintosh computers using PC emulation software such as Virtual PC. We have not tested them ourselves but do know that it has been done successfully. Back to Top
What are the major differences between Show & Sell and Show & Sell Light ?Both programs share the same image presentation features such as the slide show, light table viewing and image printing features. The main difference is that the full version of Show & Sell permits ordering and reporting through the use of a database. Images are viewed by subject name instead of opening the contents of a disk folder. Orders can be placed, an invoice printed with image thumbnails and then sales management reports can be generated. Do the programs support Raw camera image files ?No, the raw camera files generated by some digital cameras (e.g., Kodak, Canon) must be processed first either by using the supplied camera software, or by acquiring the images in Adobe Photoshop or another third party program before viewing them in Show & Sell or Show & Sell Light. Back to Top
What printers can I print to ?Both programs can print to any printer that has a standard Windows printer software driver. All prints are routed through the normal Windows printer queue. Print sizes are limited to 8.5 x 11 and A4 paper sizes. Back to Top
Can the program operate over a network ?Show & Sell can be set up to operate over a standard Windows network. Each computer on the network must have a licensed copy of the software with one computer designated as the main or server computer which contains the main database. Show & Sell Light does not have any networking capabilities as it images are viewed by selecting the contents of a folder. Back to Top
Can I upgrade from the Light version to the full version ?Yes. The cost is the difference in price between the two programs and a new software license would be required. Back to Top
